Is the rest of the world on dope?

So I've a theory that I think only about 25% of the world is not on some sort of recreational drugs. In my band, everybody BUT me likes the sticky-icky...
I know Doctors that smoke it, lawyers, sheesh, it seems like every time you look around someone's being brought up on charges for some drug use.

How many guys here recreationally use or how many think it adds nothing so why use it?

I think it's obvious where I am in the spectrum...

Alwin, what sort of percentage of the Netherlands population are dopeheads, or is it mainly tourists doing the wacky baccy?

On the local news last night, police helicopters equipped with spray heads are putting defoliant onto the equivalent of 70 rugby fields of dope per day at the moment. Rain, sunshine, it was going to be a bumper year....

Well, even though it's available "legally", the percentage of users isn't much higher ( haha ) than elsewhere.

About 3% of the dutch population regularly smokes hash and/or weed.

That number is actually about the same as belgium ( a neighbouring country ), where the same drugs are illegal.

Makes you wonder and realise, it is kind of juvenile, it's probably just as much an act of "opposing the system" as it is of drug use.

I don't know the exact numbers, DavyH. I can only say what I see in my immediate surroundings. I've met plenty of people who smoke it. I can say that. And there are quite a few coffee shops in the town where I live. I find them to have a creepy air. I'd never step into one.
