awesome week of mine:
alice springs 2 days inc visits to simpsons gap, stanleys chasm, ormistons gorge and other local stuff
then drove to kings canyon on the sandy/rocky/gravelly roads with no speed limits in a 4x4 at slightly faster than is a safe speed and stopped over at palm valley on the way (what an off road experience the bit to palm valley is!)
stayed over at kings canyon then drove to uluru (ayres rock) roads mostly the same and driving very much the same only more confident therefore faster and wheels out of line more until we got to boring old tarmac roads again
stayed rest of week at uluru and went in a heli journey over ayres rock and the olgas, climbed the rock (not strictly allowed but a fantastic experience that most people do).
possibly the best week of my life in spite of the lack of guitars! what a legend my dad it for taking us to do all of that!!
