JEM 20th or DNA?

I don't know wether to just go ahead and get the JEM 20th and forget about the DNA. I would really love the DNA though, what would others prefer and go for the JEM 20th or a DNA.

It would have to be the DNA,I just don't like the 20th at all,its just a lump of plastic with some tacky lights in it.Whats happening with you anyway?Your pal comes around slags off your guitars, next you're getting a 10th a 7v bk and now either a 20th or dna? That'll show him!

Re: JEM 20th or DNA?

If I was willing to spend $5k-$6k on a Jem or any guitar for that matter, I'd go with the DNA. It's about the same $ and your not playing a resin guitar. I'm sure the 20th is nice - don't get me wrong - but playing a guitar built out of resin just doesn't settle well with me. I look it at as more as a show piece versus a player. Plus, I am a swirl paint fan and Steve's blood being in the paint is just cool.

I'd go for any of those two if I've got the money

Re: JEM 20th or DNA?

With the advent of the 20th, DNA values will suffer in the short term.
Now would be a good time to invest in a DNA. As we learn more about the 20th and form opinions about wheter or not it's a desireable guitar - that will determin the value. I personally believe the 20th will not be viewed as favorably as the DNA over time, which will increase the DNA market values while decreasing the 20th values.

I'd go for the DNA every time, I really don't like the looks of the 20th

Just make sure you get a swirl you like for your DNA.

Personally, I like the DNA better than the 20th. Someone would have to sell me a Jem 20th at a great price (less than 4k) in order for me to buy one.

Re: JEM 20th or DNA?

Being in the UK is really making it difficult for me to get hold of a DNA, There was one on sale here in the classifieds but I don't really want to pay £4500($9000) for a DNA, I can't really afford that.

A 20th JEM is more an easy target for me right now.

Rich gets one in on occassion and I dont' recall him charging anywhere close to $9k. I'd just hold on to your money and not jump and wait to get what you really want.

I think that to go for an easy target, is a mistake, save for what you want. I'm anticipating JEM20 prices to just decrease in truth. ( may be wrong of course)

Remember though, this is a WORLD market. Buying from the UK is not as important as buying from a seller you trust

I'd go with the Jem 10th, personally, but of those two I'd look for a nice DNA if I could find one I liked. Or a VWH and a Mark IV half stack

Re: JEM 20th or DNA?

I have already aqquired the JEM 10th thanks to JEAPSON, just a matter of transfering money then the 10th is all mine

By the way I am not trying to show off by the way, I had to go threw years of sh*t to get the money I deserved, so I hope no one thinks oh there's another "look at me I can buy any rare JEM I want" because that ain't who I am at all. I just love JEMS.
