BTW - I like the
PAF pro
's in my florals better than EVO's.
I would, if the local dealer had it in stock!
I realise that it doesn't feel like the real thing, but I was commenting on its versatility.

Re: JS or JEM?

Re: JS or JEM?
i love everything about the jem except its gaudy looks that automatically brand it "a

Re: JS or JEM?
i hear a lot that JS are more versatile, thats one of the main reasons why i am getting a JS1200 instead of a JEM

Re: JS or JEM?
IMO the Jem is a lot more versatile. The middle single coil that comes stock in a jem7v is very good, and opens up a whole range of tones you just can't get with a JS, and I like the evo neck a lot more than the PAF that comes in the JS... Its got more of a bite to it.
Plus, I really hate the multi-radius neck... Again its a personal preference thing. I personally find a flatter neck easier to play.
Edit* also from what I understand its a huge huge bitch to put a sustainer in a JS1200...

Well, its all based on personal preference anyway. Have you tried a real JEM before? If you have, please tell me where it is! I'll need to have feel before I start making more stupid comments.

It's really cool. I've tried many guitars many... Fender, B.C.Rich, Squier, Jackson, Ibanez, at my
guitar shop
here in Penang (art tune) But the Jem is the best... The neck is like my goodness I goes high every time I play it. Damn it I just didn't have enough money too own it....

Re: JS or JEM?
the js 1000 neck is superb, the whole feel of the js is comfortable an it looks great!
the jem is a great guitar probably not as comfortable around the neck but looks stunning and has great pick-ups!
by the most part i wouldnt mind either way as both guitars are a pleasure to play, i seem to play my jem more but then i longed for a jem ever since i started
playing guitar
so on looks i would probably say jem, on over-all feel i would say js
(just my opinion people)
