Re: lo pro vs edge

I am sure there is a story, but what was the reason Ibanez went from the Lo Pro to the Edge Pro?

Probably the same reasons they switched from the Edge to the Lo Pro: lower profile, better design, new marketing scheme, etc.

Re: lo pro vs edge

i prefer the EDGE PRO,

i don't mind the lo pro,

but i can't stand the edge, the fine tuners cut the sh!t out of my picking hand

Keep using one and you'll build up a callous there and it will no longer cut up your picking hand I call it the Edge-users callous :P

Re: lo pro vs edge

Edge has more pullup range and is easier to make flutter. But over
all they feel pretty much the same.

But the LoPro is more out of my way and ergonomic.

EdgePro is even more so. I would put a EdgePro with locking studs on my guitar if I didn't have to route it.

Re: lo pro vs edge

I've never owned an Ibanez with a Lo Pro on it but I've played several guitars that are equipped with them. I like the feel of them better then the original Edge but it seemed to me that they went out of tune faster then original Edges.
