Maple or Rosewood ?

ok, so i bought this body from ATD. I have RED paf pro, fred and HS-2 single coil. All hardware is black..though i was thinking gold would have been better.

NOW,
Which neck should i go for? a maple fingerboard or rosewood.
i already have a rosewood one off my RG470.

Slap a VSK neck on there and look out

Pink vine would like great with the swirl!

But I do like maple necks better. But in this case (for looks) The rosewwod and pink vine.

I agree, maple is my number one choice on a guitar, but in this case it has to be rosewood

that guitar is crying out for a rosewood board but im a maple fan primarily

I too like maple but rosewood would look better with that. Pyramids would look alright too. Nice swirl!

yeah, i was thinking of pyramids, but that's gonna be on my 7 stringer.
any other idea beside a vine ?

I voted maple but I'd go with whatever you are NOT using on your 7-string.

Unlike most of the others here, i actually think maple would look better. If you don't want pyramids, i'd say either a vine or just regular dots, but it would be amazing if they were made of a dark red like this:

I don't know what the material is called, but i have the red in the pyramids on my jem, and i think it would go perfectly with your swirl, and look amazing on a maple board.
I'm sure Jeremy at LGM could do it, if he's still doing inlay work, i'm not sure what partial work he's currently accepting. I will say though that he did the neck on my Jem, and i love it.

Amazing swirl BTW. Darren is still the man- too bad it's taking so long to complete orders these days

I like rosewood very much. But the color that you've painted will suit the maple board

this is a 6 stringer body (jem style).

i have also ordered a mahogany or basswood (watever darren gets) 7 stringer body with PAW swirl color options... let's see how it comes out. i am gonna put hardware off my RG7620 in it and get pyramid inlays on the frets.
btw, i hate Dimarzio for not making colored Air norton7 pickups.
