Re: Monkey Grip Handles
You never know when you'll need a
monkey
to hold your guitar for you. I'm not sure how I've lived so long without monkey grips in all my guitars. Hey, if it's good for one guitar, it's good for every guitar. Plus, think of all the trees you save using less wood. Jems are 'eco friendly' as well as streamlined for less air resistance for running faster across the stage!!

Jems would look weird without them the same way that other guitars would look weird with them.
That sums up what I would have written. Thanks.

They were cool back in the day,but I reckon they look pretty gash these days.
The thing is if Vai wanted to stop using them he couldn't because then it would be an RG

Re: Monkey Grip Handles
Love them. The thought of me walking in a business suit with a
JEM
as my briefcase makes me smile every time.

would have to say if another guitar company and a artist produced a sig model with a monkey grip.no chance of this happening but food for thought.

Re: Monkey Grip Handles
Wouldn't mind, people are there to watch you play not your monkey grip
but seriously I own a jem but I rarely hold the monkey grip though, the only thing I love bout the jem is the superb playability I don't really care how nice it look.
