Monkey Grip Handles

Fairly self-explanatory: Do you like monkey-grip handles, dislike monkey-grip handles, or not really mind about monkey-grip handles?

I personally don't mind them.

I put that I don't mind them.

I voted that because I don't. Probably wouldn't put them on a custom made guitar but I wouldn't not buy a great guitar because of them.

C'mon people I'm sure there are more than 18 people on Jemsite, and there's always so much talk about monkey grips handles.

i voted love them.i think it sets the guitar off nicely,everyone that see's my guitars first thing they say is wwwow that looks awsome,so the public (none guitarists) love monkey handles aswell.im not so fussed on the old style monkey grip like the ones on the rootbeer.

Being handed on in a guitar shop by the grip is still one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me.

If your buying a real Jem, then fine, but monkey grips on any other guitar is stupid...

I like them. They're located at-or-near the center of gravity of the guitar (the guitar more or less balances at the first finger hole of the handle), it makes the guitar lighter with little or no impact on the tone of the instrument.

Jems would look weird without them the same way that other guitars would look weird with them.

cant imagine a les paul with a monkey grip,can you imagine bb king playing a les paul with a monkey grip hehehe ahhh maybe not.eddie van halens frankenstein would have looked quiet cool with a monkey grip.ive just thought is this monkey grip patented (liecensed).theres no chance of evh cutting a monkey grip in his new wolfgang,but i wonder what mr vai and ibanez would have to say if another guitar company and a artist produced a sig model with a monkey grip.no chance of this happening but food for thought.

Let's keep things simple: monkey grips on JEMs, painted F-holes on PGMs, Michelangelo paintings on JPMs, etc. What I try to say is that they're ok, but only on the right guitar.
