NAMM 2007 passed. Do you think the value & demand of pre-2007 Ibanez models changed?

Now that NAMM 2007 has passed and we have an idea what is to come for new models in 2007, what do you think this will do to the demand or value of previous Ibanez models?

Do you think the older Jems, RG's, J-customs, etc. will increase in value or decrease based on demand?

For me, I think the demand will at least go slightly up for older models in the near future because of the new releases, their availability, and price. Need to consider where the product is made too: MIJ vs MIK.
I would love to own the new RG 2007 and Jem 20th, but realistically I don't want to blow a hole in my wallet and I already have an RG550. The new Ibanez Jem JEM77VBK is nice looking to me since it has the vine. But I don't want another black guitar at this time.

Would like to see what you all think. If I read Rich's NAMM report correctly, there's no official price increase from Ibanez as of yet, but the MIJ has increased? (reference: http://www.ibanezrules.com/namm/2007/index.htm) Some may think they did increase the price without an announcement.

Lots of prices went up, but it wasn't accross the board, plenty stayed the same.

I thought for sure Ibanez would announce a price increase this year. I was shocked there was not one.

Prices almost never decrease on anything.

Ibanez never announces anything. The price is right on the wall beside the model. It doesn't say if it went up or down. That's for you to figure out

Oh ok. I guess I have to be good at math then? Thanks Rich!

I'll be curious to see how the demand for particular models pre-2007 change.

I'm totally jazzed that they are re-releasing the DY RG 550. I sold them in a guitar store as an 18 year old kid but could never afford one because I got minimum wage, $3.35 per hour in Washington state in 1987. If they re-released them with a different neck or bar I woulden't be interested, but, because they look the same as they used to, mine is already on the way.

Re: NAMM 2007 passed. Do you think the value & demand of pre-2007 Ibanez models chang

I thought for sure that prices on used 7621's and 7421's would go down dramatically with the introduction of the Apex-2.

And then Ibanez revealed it was an Indonesian guitar, which completely changed my view on that topic.

If it was MIJ, I think it would certainly have some effect on the 7621 and 7421 prices.

i'm hoping to find an RGT42dxfx and an RGT220h on closeout since they have both been discontinued.
