OFR.
I still prefer my OFR over any trem I've ever used.

Re: OFR.
I didn't check to see if this poll had been done before. Probably has though. But who knows, maybe you've changed you mind since you voted int the last one.
Time for a fresh OFR poll!!

Re: OFR.
It's a great trem, and nice to have as an upgrade for so many guitars out there. It's still take a LoPro as my 1st choice, but the OFR is a blessing to those who need a TRS upgrade. They stay in tune well, and sustain very well.

Re: OFR.
The OFR rocks, Darin. And it looks great, too!
I don't think it's necessarily the best, though. I mean, others are equally good. They just differ.
I'm hopefully getting a Carvin this year, and I'm having it equipped with an OFR. It's going to be pretty cool.

I do like the OFR, but prefer the Lo-pro, Edge and even the Edge Pro

Re: OFR.
Here's what they say about the OFR on the Suhr website:
"Despite the bad rap the Floyd has received over the years, we still think it is a good sounding bridge. It has a brass block, sounds warm and can be played aggressively. The construction is not as good as it used to be; some tolerances have become sloppy over the years. The radius is basically not adjustable; 10-14" compound
fingerboard radius
seems to work the best. Most of the construction issues are handled here at
Suhr Guitars
. Nothing will stay in tune as a properly working Floyd."

Re: OFR.
Obviously the OFR deserves a lot of credit and loyalty, but the original edge on my 88 FP has been nothing short of a miracle. I have had several guitars with an OFR, as well as many with a licensed trem, and none have swayed my opinion. I voted that it was equal to the best however because after the edge, the OFR stands alone in it's dominance!!

Re: OFR.
I've having a OFR fitted to the
Suhr Standard
that I ordered a while back. But tbh, if I could, it'd have a lo-pro fitted. I just prefer the feel of the Ibanez trems.

Re: OFR.
I love the Edge and Gotoh Licenced Floyd Roses. The Gotoh one has taken the issues with the OFR, and made it so much better:
Locking studs
, straight knife edge, lowest standard profile layout, and the best
trem arm
design I've ever seen. Plus it's cheaper than the OFR and Schaller models.

Couldn't you send a new Lo-Pro to Suhr and have them install that instead of the OFR?

Re: OFR.
I'm not sure if they would Jimmy. When I ordered it I asked for off-set dots, which wasn't on the options list. They said they couldn't do it, so I'd be surprised if they would agree to putting a totally different trem system on it. Plus once the order has been processed, I don't think they allow you to alter anything.

Re: OFR.
I love the older Floyds from the 80s and early nineties. But the newer ones, although the same design, feel cheaper (and not made as well). I think that's why Suhr switched to Gotoh Floyds.
