now that you only play standard, do you feal like you've moved on with your playing, or you could go back to it without it really affecting you?

That's what I thought they would have been, just thought there may have been a more technical name for it though. Cool, yeah they sound great, have a real cool vibe about them.

I dont like to alter how the scales flow on the fretboard, so standard only.

Re: One Finger Power chords.....
in my band we play in drop C but thats only cause the other guitarist refuses to play in standard tunings,
on my 7 string through it's always in standard tuning 1 step or half a step down,

Re: One Finger Power chords.....
Standard for me, but *iff* I had more RG esque guitars with
floating bridges
, then I would definetally keep around a drop D guitar. Maybe a CGC one too.
In terms of heavy sounding power chords, I stumbled on something interesting last week - When you construct one, instead of having a fifth in the middle, use a major fourth and put a fifth on the fourth string - I find it sounds plenty heavy for me

to be honest, I just got better and didn't need to use one finger power chords to sound good. IMO, it is easier be technical (that is a nice oxymoron) in standard tuning. once in a while I will drop d.

Re: One Finger Power chords.....
That's why I changed it to get around the filter, I didnt want to be wrongly accused of using the "F" word.
I dont mind being acused if I used it, or just finished using it, or was a bout to use it, but not when I didnt use it.
