Open or Closed Back Cabnets
I am using a Legacy 2x12 and a 2x12
extension cab
. I have the option of closed or open back enclosures. Which would you choose and why?

Re: Open or Closed Back Cabnets
the sound seems fuller to me in an open back, the bass doesn't over power too much either

Re: Open or Closed Back Cabnets
Neither,partialy closed,you'll get the best of both worlds with both cabs partially closed.Your sound will be full,project well,and have plenty of low-end without being bass heavy.

Re: Open or Closed Back Cabnets
I decided to go with the extension cab 1/2 open and the combo closed. It really brightened up the tone and made it more full.

Clean = open
Dirty = closed.
