Question

Passion and warfare

Hi,

Here's another 'Which do you like best?' poll.

For me, it's 'Blue powder', 'Sisters', 'The riddle' and 'Erotic nightmares'.

Re: Passion and warfare

Thanks for your replies, guys. I'm always interested in your thoughts.

So far many songs are getting an even amount of votes.. It's interesting to see. I remember Steve Vai saying on the commentary track of the Astoria DVD, that when he asked fans to vote for the songs that would comprise the 'Anthology' CD, 'Erotic nightmares' and 'The animal' got the most votes.. Those are great pieces. Just like every track on the album, of course. But I really like the vibe of 'Blue powder'. It's very special.

Re: Passion and warfare

Answers and The Riddle are by far the best tracks on the album.

Sisters is also very nice with it's Montgomery meets Hendrix vibe.

I'm not really a fan of Vai, and I find a lot of this album painful to listen to, especially For the Love of God and Audience is Listening. Utter cheese.

Whilst I wouldn' call it utter cheese, more "of its time" I definately agree with your song choice, Answers and The Riddle all the way.

Re: Passion and warfare

Blue Powder. great mood, great "expanded" sound overall thanks to a proper use of reverbs and delays.

That's very surprising. I figured his music would appeal to pretty much everybody who loves guitar oriented music.
