Talking

Skid Row

Great band, riffs, vocals, and lyrics. What the heck happened? Sebastian's big ego? These guys should still be putting out great albums. Discuss! Also, what is your favorite album by them?

Re: Skid Row

They're friends of mine. I took guitar lessons from Dave Sabo. Scott Hill is a great guy too. They're all pretty cool.

I saw Sabastian Bach at the Kiss show about 2 years ago. He was sitting by me and he gave my wife a kiss as he walked back stage. I just saw Skid Row at the Surf Club in Ortley Beach. I still talk to them.

Re: Skid Row

I voted for Skid Row,Slave to the grind was cool too although I never heard the other album.
They should have carried on, but I guess they got associated with all the other 80's hair bands and that did for them although they were always harder than those other bands and in some ways were ahead of their time.
Don't they have another singer these days?

Re: Skid Row

I picked Slave, but easily could of gone with the first album. Man, they were a great band back then. Snake and Scotti are grossly underrated guitar players as is Rob Affuso as a drummer. I only got to see them once live (on their first tour), but it was a great night.

Never got into Subhuman Race, but My Enemy was awesome.

It's a shame they split when they did, but you could kind of see it coming. Bas, as great as a front man he is, wouldn't be the easiest person to be in a band with. I guess any singer worth their grain in salt wouldn't be either...

It's a shame they get thrown into that "Hair Band" category all the time.
