both are awesome and it depends on what mood i'm in. i find myself listening to Racer X an aweful lot! I don't like Paul's solo albums.

I change my vote. I vote for Goro (the 4 armed guy from Mortal Kombat). I bet he could play the guitar really well if he ever took the time to sit down and learn!

Steve or Paul?

I choose Eddie!

Really, I love both. I've been more exposed to Vai over the years than PG, but he's just phenomonal.

they're both great players but i find vais playing a little more interesting and gilberts to be more typical shredder stuff

Yeah but that doesn't mean that Goro would be good. And he essentially had three because his ring and pinky were fused together.

You Can pick your friends and
You can pick your nose
But you can't pick the better guitarist

I think you mean that the other way around......

Paul has played Hair Metal (Mr. Big), has 2 #1 songs, Shred metal with Racer X, pop rock with his solo stuff, All Blues with his Jimi Kidd CD, Beatles with his Yellow Matter Custard CD/DVD.

Here....download...and learn. Consider them all ...download gifts from me.

You couldn't even tell those were the same guitar player...if I didn't tell you.

While no way do I detract from Vai's abilities....but to say he's more diverse...is, well not true.
