I don't regret any cause everytime I sold a guitar was because I was tired of it or I wanted another one.

I regret missing out on a new 7DBK and a 7VSBL. And I think I'm about to stupidly rectify the 2nd one in a few days.

A Dead Mint RG770DX LB from 1991 in a small German shop which mostly sells Saxophones and violins. It was 400€ something. I just came in to buy a ukulele for my girlfriend and had no cash enough for it. I came the day after with my credit card and the 770 was gone.

Re: The guitars you regret missing out on

I have a few, but the one i regret most goes as follows:

It was a 1966 Fender Mustang being sold for 900 bucks, with the original case. Unfortunately, money became tight soon after my mother's insurance was cancelled, and her M.S. Medication came first. I still think about what kind of sweet tunes i could've played. She's better now, b.t.w.

A few years back I bought a new Mexi Strat, olympic white, with American Strat electronics that I got on e-bay for like $60 (Pickups, 5way switch, tone/vol pots, output) then I traded it in for a Charvel Avenger. I love my avenger, but I still miss my Strat.

Re: The guitars you regret missing out on

In 1992-93 I stood in a shop looking at a Ibanez catalog thinking I should have them order me a JS5. I didn't. It's the only guitar that I can think of that I regret not buying. It will be one I most likely will never own.

Re: The guitars you regret missing out on

A couple months ago I bought a 1991 JEM GMC. Bought and paid for -- 1600 bucks shipped on reverb. A couple hours later the seller refunds my money saying someone else bought it on ebay like 5 minutes before my order.

A year or two ago, this time on ebay - Bought and paid for a dead mint 1989 DY 540P (II) for $750. A couple hours later the seller (a music store) refunds my money and says one of his salesmen sold it on the floor to someone who walked in and bought it. He was mad because he accidentally sold it for $400 bucks.

Aw man! Those are both d**k moves!
I hate it when I see people double-dipping on eBay and Reverb.com. It seems like there's better selection on Reverb but I've never bought a guitar through there.

Nice!

I regret not jumping on a J-Custom that Rich had on sale - I probably could have squeezed enough cash together but I chickened out...one of my life regrets =(
