The i'm sick of big brother poll/official petition

right folks, i'm sick of big brother! In keeping with the jemsite very random poll thing as mentioned in the tea or coffee thread i thought i'd do something usefull for a change! We have a problem in our house whereby i hte big brother and think its trash and my girlfriend loves it. I propose we put a stop to this mental torment and try and get it off our tv screens forever! Its pointless, boring, full of wanna be tv personality's, syops good things being on tv and finally causes broken homes! So i urge you as humans, vote and make a change for the better! Get this bilge off our screens once and for all!

Quite rightly so! In a country where on the same day you could die of being punched by a kangaroo, bitten by a snake, munched by a crocodile or ate by a croc you decided out of all the deadly things, that big brother was the most likely to put you in a coma!

I'm convinced Reality TV is more damaging to the fabric of society than anything else. It turns people into narcissists and tells the audience at home that f$%&ing over the next guys is the way to get ahead. Few do anything to promote concepts like honor, self-respect, and loyalty.
I guess there are a few that are okay but most seem to dig into the underbelly of human existence and dredge up the absolute worst in people.
Sorry....I couldn't resist.....

What the hell is Big Brother?
Besides some sort of TV show, I've understood that much.

And regardless, if you don't want to watch the show, why not find something else to do, like play the guitar?

Yeah, that is the worst show on TV. My g'friend loves it and I effing detest it! It's on for like 3 months as well. Somebody pass me a flamethrower! Lol!!

man i haven't actually watched TV properly for literally months. occasionally i watch the new for a big story or something but goddamn, i'd rather play diminished string skips for 9 hours...

i do try to play, but my lass insists i turn it down so she can watch this tripe, pinched harmonics aren't the same without the projection! FYI big brother is where a group of morons share a house untill everyone is voted out week in week out and its televised. That my friend is big brother! Complete trash!

They used to have BB on TV in Holland quite a bit. I think we've had five of 'em in total. The first one I thought was interesting.

I thought it was interesting to see the so-called social behavior of those people. With the backstabbing and the hierarchies and everything.

It's a great show for psychologists and sociologists to watch, actually.

It got old for me by about the third incarnation. But that was a long time ago. I'd watch it if it came back.

Indeed. The first one was interesting, but the other ones were just more of the same.
They tried hard to make it different and more interesting, but they failed at that.
