Question

The jemsite movie top 8

Hello,

Which one(s) of the films and series in the poll do you like best?

For more information regarding this poll, you could check out the 'Your movie top 5?' thread, in the Off topic/Miscellanous section.

http://www.jemsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54451

By the way, I posted a post in that thread, in which I say a few things about how I counted the votes. And you can see how the top-5 looks.

Kind regards,
Myst and rain

Lord of the Rings for me. It was either this or Star Wars. But the prequel trilogy sucked balls (they should never have left the scriptwriting to Lucas, which is why Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are my favourites).

Another LOTR here. Stars Wars was a close second but like Kamikaze said the prequel trilogy basically ruined it.

The Star Wars Prequels were horrible except for the last 3 min of the last movie when Darth Vader rose, and thats about it.

Except that corny "NNOOO" bit and the quick cut to the next scene. Man I thought they did it so lame!

Episodes 1 and 2 were lame. Episode 3 was okay. I especially liked the part when Order 66 was carried out and the ending.

Re: The jemsite movie top 8

Has anyone else done the marathon of all the extended LOTR
Its the only movie that can keep you watchig for 12 hours

Return of the king was rubbish tho, compared to the book at least. Really, as good as it is, If i start following along in my head with the books I end up throwing something at the TV

Yes it was a bit unfaithful to the book, but Peter Jackson had to compromise the epic battle scenes if he wanted to remain more faithful to the book.

Well, you can't include every little detail from books or else the movies would be like 30 hours long each. Jackson did the best that he could with the time limits given to him. I really hope he does the Hobbit, he almost has too...

Its not the time saving ones that anoy me, its the ones that could easily have 'bin by the book' but were changed to be dramatised. Things like going to the city of the dead like it was such a big deal when it was prophesized all along or how farimir captured the hobbuts or the whole character of golem which was really annoying when youve allready know the character from reading th ebook and then they do something and you think ' that character would never have done that'.

I still really want to see them do the hobbit tho
