I have no idea what "poll" you are referring to ... I never saw it ... which tells me that a lot of other people here didn't see it either. The point is that there are a lot of things missing from this list.
IbanezGirl, if you had a problem with the quality on Pulse, I dare say you have a problem with your equipment. That DVD has great video and the best audio I have heard on any DVD yet.
Personally, I buy more music DVDs than movie DVDs, but they don't have a lot of mass-market appeal and can sometimes be hard to find.

There is nothing wrong with my equipment.
Dare i say, maybe some people are more easily pleased than others.
After viewing Pulse i decided to take it to my friends place. He is one of those fortunate ones who has spent well over 25K on buliding a glorious dedicated HT room, which has a CRT projector, 8ft screen and the best surrond sound equipment money can buy (yep i'm envious). I didn't tell him of what i had seen or heard with the DVD, but he also picked out the same problems. In actual fact, the picture and audio glitches stood out more on his gear. I STILL think with the technology and experience they now have with DVDs, it could have been done better.
And to keep this thread on topic, my top 3 would be G3, Steve and Peter Frampton. I couldn't leave Live in Detroit out as it was shot with HD cameras and has a great 5.1 and DTS mix.

Uhmm... Well, I just thought it would get kind of complicated that way. And on top of that, a poll can have never more than 15 choices. If I would include all the DVDs seperately, I wouldn't have enough space in one poll. And the G3 DVDs are all pretty much along the same lines anyways. I've never seen the Dream theater DVDs.

Thanks guys. I'm from The Netherlands, so I wasn't 100% sure about it.

It was a thread, not a poll. It relatively wasn't viewed/posted in very much, no. But nevertheless, I think the poll gives a good picture of people's favourites.
I
think.

That home theatre sounds great. 25K is a bit much for me though. I looked it up on wikipedia. Does your friend's HT look something like this?
Kind regards,

Re: The jemsite music DVD top 8
Myst and rain, you would love it.
Yep, it's very similar with the lighting, CRT, framed posters, except his chairs are made of material. He has air con and has the curtains across the screen, just like in the cinema's, you hit a button and the curtains open up and retract.
I was there when he first started building it and you should have seen the amount of cable that was used, it was mind blowing.
He also has it hooked up to his computer system. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the first time i heard the POD race from Phantom Menace on his system, was teeth shattering..hehehe!!!

I know you watch dvds for quality and I watch them for the music
, I still watch dads old floyd and yes concerts on VHS because Im happy as long as its audible and they play my favourite songs. If i chose one for quality, hmm, probably G3 live in tokyo.

Re: The jemsite music DVD top 8
crevis, my neighbour has no regard for audio and picture quality, he doesn't even care if something is copied from VHS onto dvd.
He is always bringing in the latest concerts he has just purchased, and i think excellent i'd love too this person in concert. I put it in and if it's a VHS rip, i seriously cannot watch it.
In a way i envy you guys.
But i guess, it's similar to people on here who have high end prestiges and J Customs etc, once you play and own one there's no going back.

I didnt say rips
those are just horrible through a system. Now I think of it, i was really annoyed at the 2nd DT dvd, that was really bad quality audio, the first one wasnt real good but it is 13 years old. I watch music dvds on my computer with headphones most of the time but through a system i can really see where youre coming.

Re: The jemsite music DVD top 8
You know my neighbour is quite unique actually. He's exactly the same way with guitars and amps too! He's been playing for about 30 years, was a pro for about 10 or so years, and now is semi pro who has also taught.
Within this last year he has bought about 11 guitars, 4 fx pedals, a Vamp2 and within the last few weeks a new amp. Not once has he walked into a
music store
to try out any of the gear, he's jumped online and searched, found something he's liked, rang around a few stores got the best prices and then bought 'em without even trying them
He says he doesn't care about sound quality, as long as they feel and play ok, then he's happy.
Today he purchased a Behringer IAXE USB guitar without trying it. He's actually supposed to be bringing it in tonight, it will be very interesting too see how it sounds. Seriously i kid you not, that's exactly how he is
