The jemsite music DVD top 8

Howdy,

Well, I counted all the votes. And all the titles which were posted pretty much came up only once, except the eight you see in the poll. The G3 DVD's were the ones that came up most in the thread. The others that made it to the poll got 2 to 3 votes.

Anyways, here it is, and I'm curious to see what the outcome will be. My guess is that it's going to be a close call between the G3 DVD's, the Dream theater DVD's and Steve Vai - Live at the Astoria. But I think Steve Vai - Live at the astoria is the most likely winner, seeing that this is, after all, a forum which is basically dedicated to Steve Vai's guitars and all.

Once again, a big thanks to all of you who posted your favourite music DVD's!

Kind regards,
Myst and rain

Exactly which dvd of The Wall are we talking about here? Are you referring to the movie, or Roger Waters' live version? Also, I agree with the guys above about Pulse. I'd have voted for that if it were there, but as it stands I cast my vote with DT.

The best music DVD(in my opinion) is Eric Clapton's Crossroads, and I own a ****load. , It's mostly blues, but It's got most of the best guitar players in the world on it, (I did say most not all) , and yes Steve Vai is on there as well (kicking ***) I must say. anyway watch it you will love it!

Re: The jemsite music DVD top 8

This one is a toughie, Myst and rain. I cannot decide between the G3 DVDs and Steve Vai. I think i need to ponder this some more before voting

I'm a little amazed that a few of you have said how great Pulse is. Granted i LOVE Floyd, but after waiting a very very very long time for the DVD release ( i think nearly 10 years?),they haven't taken full advantage of the DVD technology and released the best quality in both picture and audio.
I find the picture to be grainy in parts and in some audio parts, it's boomy and not clearly distinguishable. This is unforgivable for a title that had so many delays and was a highly anticipated release.

Well, that DVD only got a single vote. The DVD's in the poll are the ones that came up most. All the DVD's which got a single vote, aren't in the poll.

The poll is referring to the Roger Waters live version, as far as I know. The movie is a movie, not a music DVD? At least that's what I'm assuming.

By the way everybody, how do you write the plural of DVD officially? Is it DVD's or DVDs? I think I wrote it the wrong way.

Kind regards,
Myst and rain

Well nevertheless, there were quite a few votes. I think that this poll probably gives a good picture of most people's favourites. Apparently, there just are less people here who are into music DVD's, then there are people who are into movie DVD's, for instance. That thread had 119 (!) votes!

this poll is kinda not fair,
cause with the G3 and DT dvd's you didn't specify 1 single dvd as you did with the rest?
