Re: Ugliest guitar!
Gotta agree with Lefty here, those First Acts are hideous, kinda like Mastodon's music.
I'll nominate the Gibson reverse V. What the hell were they thinking?
Rock on!

Just when you thought you knew everything about ugly.....
Zachary. They may or may not be good, but they're not pretty.
Damn' near everything BC Rich ever made.
Parkers are not even remotely ugly.

I gotta agree here - that Gibson reverse V is FUGLY - looks like a demented arrow or spade. They also make a "Holy V" which is a flying v with (as the name suggests) holes, or more exactly, shapes, cut out of it!! goddam ugly.

Ugly may not be the word, more like Phallic, very very phallic.
If an Ibanez RG/Jem was a dude, than a
Parker
Fly is like a hot curvy supermodel..

Personally I like the Parker Fly.
I must agree with Almost_Human, that "reverse V" is horrendous.

Re: Ugliest guitar!
I like the Fly. It's something different. It's cool to see a design that is
very
different than the Strat/LP thing that actually works. I've also seen other innovative designs but they were just terrible.
Anyway, I was just looking at the Parker site and it's great what they're doing, imo, now with the four seasons limited editions. But the genuine python skin covered Fly?! Wth?
Btw, Ken Parker looks like Stanley Kubrick.

Re: Ugliest guitar!
The Gibson Reverse V was almost intended as a joke. The Parkers are dead serious though. I'm not fond of their style.

Re: Ugliest guitar!
I gotta say I like Parkers. I agree that the reverse V was pretty bad. Honestly though I think a Despagni Jem is pretty fugly too. I know I've probably just agrivated a lot of people but it's really how I feel.

Re: Ugliest guitar!
Parker did make a Tele-esque guitar that was pretty brutal, but overall they arent bad. The Reverse Explorer is pretty bad, the Jem PMC is about the worst finish I can think of.

Re: Ugliest guitar!
I don't like the Despagni/ Performance (not sure which it was) Flame Jems very much. But I like the Lightning bolt ones. As for parkers, I don't think they are that bad looking. The reverse V is terrible though, as is that horrid rectangular/ trapesium shaped Bo Diddely guitar, I forget which company makes them

Re: Ugliest guitar!
That reverse V crap that Gibson did is horrendous. I can't beleive they have to go to that kind of a gimmick to sell guitars.
How did they decide on that crap? Did they have a bunch of bodies taht got messed up in the CNC and decided not to throw them out?
