Re: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave

I voted Velvet Revolver.
Audioslave sounds too much like what it is: Chris Cornell singing with Rage Against the Machine.
Velvet Revolver have their own unique sound, so they don't sound like Guns 'N' Roses with Scott Weiland. They sound like their own band.

I gotta go Velvet on this one. Just more balls-out rock than Audioslave and I like balls-out rock!

Re: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave

Audioslave for me. That contraband album by VR just drags along its like there constantly just running out of stuff to do. Scott Weiland was good in STP, but not now, what VR are doing is nothing new.

I think Audioslave are not just R.A.T.M with Cornell in, their more than that, there are great vocals and not just constant white boy rap like zakk de la rocha did(although he was great!) Plus they have had 3 excellent albums, what have VR done since their first piss poor album!!! F*ck all

Re: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave

I voted for VR simply because I miss RATM more. I kinda like the fact that GnR was so volatile, it was part of the mythos.

Re: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave

I really wanted to get into VR because of Slash, but tbh hated their album imho it was a total let down considering the hype around the band when it came out.

Re: Velvet Revolver or Audioslave

Audioslave all the way. Tom Morello is a genius on the instrument.

I never really "dug" Velvet Revolver. I saw them at Download Festival a few years back now, and I didn't like 'em. Slash is cool, but I just cannot stand their lead singer. I thought they were over-hyped, and never found anything of interest in their material.

Audioslave is twenty times the band that Velvet Revolver will ever be...VR sucked live...

How so? Audioslave sounds nothing like Rage Against the Machine...vocals or not...same musicians, but entirely different band.
