I think STP was underated. I love Dean DeLeo's style. I don't know why Scott Weiland left that band.

I have to say STP. Primarily because they have a catalogue of classic material. A great band that will surely be remembered in rock history. Velvet Revolver is pretty awsome too, though.

One of my favorite albums was the little-known project called "Talk Show" which was the guys in STP with another singer who's name escapes me. They put this out not long after Weiland bailed. Great album that never really got it's props.

STP all the way. They could do it all, from pop sounding songs like "Sour Girl" to hard rocking songs like "Sex Type Thing".
Although, Velvet Revolver is pretty sweet, IMHO.

I dig Velvet Revolver, but like Supermau, I went for STP due to the amount of classic material that they've released (and Velvet Revolver has yet to).

Additionally, STP's riffs were the type that stuck in your head (in a good way), which I just don't quite get off Velvet Revolver.

I never gave Velvet Revolver much of a shot at longevity due to the history of some of those clowns. But maybe they've wised up. Sure beats whatever the hell GNR has become!

I guess Velvet Revolver because I quite like Slash's playing. STP has better material already out, but I feel like VR can do some nice stuff.

Not entirely my type of music though.
