Saturn... we've had two of their vehicles, and it's a personal preference thing for me. I like the way they drive, and they get incredible gas milage (40+ to the gallon).

Pontiacs. Specifically, 70-81 Firebirds and Trans Am's. And if anybody ever wants to trade Ibanez guitars for Trans Am parts, I'm your guy (meaning I've got a TON of old TA parts I'd love to get rid of, and I've got a nasty Ibanez habit to feed...)

Rich,

Please show us photos of your Ferrari's , Lamborgini's, and Bentleys.

I meant cars that typical working guys (like you and I...and most of the people on here) have actually owned.

I should have phrased the question in that context.

I don't have to own something to have it be my favorite, and you worded the poll, not me. It says favorite maker and nothing more.

I think Saturn is owned by General Motors.

I noticed that Saturn is 2nd in the world (per Car and Driver) of all car makers of customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and repeat buyers.

Volkswagen is #1
Honda is #3

I've owned 4 Honda's, but no VW's or Saturn's.
Whats the deal with these??

Are they just fun to drive?
Great gas milage?

As far as reliability goes, all of my Honda's have been bulletproof, 200,000+ mile cars.

My favourite brand is Porsche, these cars all handle exceptionally (these days) and despite HUGE repair bills when they do go wrong, they're very very reliable.

I drive an Alfa Romeo at the moment which has a lot of soul to it, more so than any other brand I've driven. BUT I've spent more than thecar's worth on parts this year alone so it has to go to make way for...

A Honda; simply because I wanted reliability.

If I wasn't paying for the repairs I would have bought another Alfa Romeo without a second thought. As I do pay for the repairs...

As for VW's they're fairly expensive to repair and make some fine, very very solid feeling cars. As well as having a totally cool purple glow for the instruments instead of the usual red, orange or green. I love that.

Some VW's are great fun to drive, others are just boring mundane family cars.

As with most brands with a large range of cars, there's all sorts to suit all budgets. I wouldn't turn down a Golf R32 mind
