Re: Which is a better neck?

I find it strange that some people refer to the fretboard wood as the 'Neck'. I've always considered the neck to be the 'actual' neck.

A better question would have been "Which Fretboard Wood Do you Prefer-Ebony,Maple or Rosewood".

I prefer an Ebony Fretboard by the way.

Re: Which is a better neck?

Wow, this was a totally misleading post. I thought someone was asking about like different Ibanez necks but instead this is about fretboards....and only about TWO of them.

Ebony all the way for me. I just prefer the feel and tone of it more than any other type of material. Its all personal preferance though I suppose. I like both maple and rosewood too so.......I dont mind any!

I'd vote maple but it doesn't seem to be an option.

Any. Neck woods don't make that much differece to me. Only the feel matters.

Re: Which is a better neck?

Out of the two choices I would have to say ebony. Although imo BRAZ rosewood is the best fretboard material available, hands down.
