Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

as much as i dislike maple boards...I LOVE THE BFP!!!!! its right up there with my rg770dx. its my second favorite jem...first being the jem7rb. i have lusted after a bfp for years and would buy one in a heartbeat if they were to reissue it. what i would love to see reissued would be the pgm100 with an aanj.

Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

For me it wasn't so much the finish as it was the blue vine on the maple neck. To this day it's still the only maple fretboard/vine combination. All the other maples had pyramids.

I recently had my BFP neck cleaned within an inch of its life and refretted. Don't know if you saw the pics, but it looks AWESOME.

Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

With today's market, I don't think it'll sell much, but I'd sure like to have one.

I voted no. I like them very much, but I think the concept could be so much prettier. IMO, it is an ugly guitar.

My BFP now sports blue Tone Zone and Air Norton - for some reason the PAF Pros sounded really thin and lifeless in this guitar

No Way!!!! A lot of people hate the VSBL even though they are becoming more popular. Not only that, they are only 2 yrs. out of production. The BFP would be way more popular. BFP=15 yrs. out of production. I say no to both, Ibanez please do not reissue neither. VSBL=my favorite.

Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

I voted YES. I think the BFP would sell, but not in huge amounts.

Discovering that the guitar actually has a paper top was quite a shock to me, as I thought they were fabric-covered just like the original FP (still my favourite guitar). BFP is very nice, though.

Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

I didn't particularly like them when they came out, but I didn't like the GMC or PMC when they came out either. I'm still fairly ambivalent about them all now. A reissue of the original 3 would sell better, I think.

Yeah personally they really are just plain ugly to me. If i wanted girl's wallpaper on my guitar I'd glue some on...

Re: Would a blue floral re-issue sell?

I prefer the FP, but the BFP is also very nice. However I dislike Maple Boards (by far prefer Rosewood), so no BFP for me.
