H-H, the single coils tend to get in the way, and yes,
coil tapping
would be cool too...

H-H.
The single coil is just not my thing. (And can get in the way)
Cheers,
Joten

HSH, why not? The more the better!
Heck, I'd like even more pups like the EB
Steve Morse
model!

since my main axe is only H-H i like to use the bridge hummer for rock/attemps to solo (tone 8-10 usualy), and the neck on clean stuff with the tone down just a tad (6-eight). but i like the sound of the single in the middle, just for a dif texture every once in a while. but i dont like spliting or blending my pups.

what's wrong with a single humbucker - the ultimate stripped down rock guitar - EVH's Kramer in the 80s - didn't really need more than one did he?
Or have I misunderstood the question?

I like the setup on the RG565. Lots of room between the pups, best of all worlds to me, with two hums, coil tapping, who could ask for anything more?? Why did they stop this one??
