Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

I'd have to have the obligatory Strat and Les Paul, but I'd consider an Ibanez LP, just for fun. In fact I've been after one for a while, now.
Those aside, I'd nab another Parker Fly and a number of RG-body guitars. USRG-30, Rg20063 puzzle top, I'd love to see the 7 string arch top that Tak proposed to Ibanez. I'd also do a regular 6 string RG Arch, probably the 321 if you could do a wine-trans over a nice top, ohhhh mama!
I think I'd add a Gretch Setzer model too, just when I'm feeling that Rockabilly vibe.

All that and you have to consider amplification.
You get the LP, You need the Marshall Plexi or some variant.
A Must have also would be the Fender Twin and a Roland JC-120.
I already have the Mesa goodies, so I'm good there.
I mean if I could swing a Dumble, I would try one out, but I'd like to keep this at least semi-believable. In fact, it's downright doable at this stage!
Someone say G.A.S.?

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

Mine would definately include...
Jem(7vwh,77fp,10th)
Strat-'62 red
Les Paul custom-tobacco sunburst
UV777bk
Rg(metal,8670,pr-1,usrg30,usrg-angels depart)
PRS custom 24('93-black trans,)
EBMM JPM F1(purple trans)

I think that'd be nice even dozen.

With the amp consideration-
Rivera TBR-1sl w/Rivera 50/50 poweramp, 2 Rivera 212's(vintage 30's) and los lobottom 115.

Last edited by texshred777; 06-06-2008 at 10:48 PM. Reason: took bammbamm's amp addition into account

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

Just what I currently have, plus I guess a few more customs that are in the works (24 fret neck thru slim-bodied les paul with a solid cocobolo top, a custom explorer, and a few others).

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

um...2002 and older j-customs and prestiges in 6's and 7's(still like the lo-pro edge better and hate the fact that prestige in the rg line just means japanese. the older ones were way more special) a few strats(like andersons, suhr, or melancon), a few teles(see strats), a few nice jazz boxes, one or 2 les pauls, and a couple of taylors. that would be smoking for me.

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

My dream guitars would be:
JCRG8470AVV (untouched)
JEM77VBK (in a JEM7PBK black & white color scheme)
RGA121HCDR with chrome pickups
RG1820XGK (modded like crazy with white pickups and J-Custom 8620S neck)
USRG30TP (modded like with a tilt output jack, deeper trem cavity routing, sanded neck, and custom pickup wiring)
UV777PBK (also in a JEM7PBK black & white color scheme)
Ovation Legend 12-string with an legend custom neck
(all above owned)

and, of course, the "never attainable" JEM2K DNA #119 (Yeah you know yours is #1 Wolfgang!!!!)

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

Well if I was going to do it I'd do it up:

1. A good strat with great singlie coils for the traditonal strat tone
2. A good strat with great modern electronics
3. A gibson les paul standard
4. A gibson ES335
5. A nice Jazz arch top, real Jazz arch top like a D'Aquisto opr something
6. A great classical acoustic something made by Yari
7. A nie acoustic steel string, I personally like Takamines, Taylors and Martins but there are plenty of great acoustics out there.
8. A good supersrat like an RG, or a Soloist or maybe a good charvel, ESP whatever. I actually do have this: 1991 RG 560

Realistically though:

1. A strat
2. A good mahogany vintage humbucker guitar
3. My RG
4. A good acoustic

Re: Your ultimate stable would include.....?

My lineup would mostly consist of 7-strings, but not all of them.

Ibanez RG2077XL (Got it, never letting go!)
Ibanez UV777GR (Some day! Basically all UV's except the newest one)
Ernie Ball/Music Man BFR Petrucci 7 (Some day!)
Ernie Ball/Music Man BFR Petrucci 6 (Some day!)
Sherman Custom 7-string (Some day!)
Jackson DK2M (Some day!)

I know. A Jackson DK2M together with UVs, MM BFRs, and a Sherman Custom. The thing is, I love DK2Ms! I really want to get one, since if I would custom order a Jackson it would be almost exactly like that. Im a sucker for maple fretboards

The green MTM MT is holding on the cover of the new Guitar World (again, minus the dumb SEVEN inlay!). It looks like a 550 MTM hybrid and looks mad sick!
