100th anniversary models for 2008

Now that all the new models for '07 have been released, I think the next thing to look forward to are the great modela for the 100th an. of Hoshino!
Remember the great models for the 90th anniversary!!! mmm
But no Petrucci model this time

I have both a JPM 90th and a JEM 90th.. both great guitars!!!!

So what do you expect?!?

Re: 100th anniversary models for 2008

The JEM90Th is nice! Never seen the JPM90TH in person, I bet it's sweet.

I'm looking forward to see what they come up with, I bet it will be interesting.

JEM100HAM? or what if Steve did a UV100HAM? that would be awesome! We need a new Universe!

Not really into the title HAM model, perhaps they could call it the AHM, HAM is kinda salty.

Re: 100th anniversary models for 2008

I would expect anniversary models of the jem, js, pgm and may a couple of signature jazz boxes.

The 90th models failed to command collector prices, which is pretty strange considering that, at least the PGM90 and JPM90 were both very cool.

Re: 100th anniversary models for 2008

IMO they shouldn't release a Jem100HAM. The Jem20th just came out. Only a few people would want to spend 10,000$ on 2 limited edition Jems in 2 consecutive years. The UV100 sounds like a good idea. AAAH it's too early to start thinking about this anyways

Re: 100th anniversary models for 2008

They didnt fetch collectors prices cause they arent really limited... didnt they build for everyone that ordered or something like that? Its not like it was a limited run defined from the start...

not true, dealers could order as many as they wanted, in the end the Jem90HAM was the most popular (from a dealer's standpoint) so they produced close to 800 of those, the others much less, <300 IIRC

EDIT from the Jemsite specs:

Jem90HAM 759 (72 Hoshino usa)
JS90 352 (25)
JPM90 450 (26)
PGM90 337 (20)

Re: 100th anniversary models for 2008

I'm sure Hoshino won't miss out on the opportunity of an anniversary model - they certainly haven't in the past.

A new UV would be cool, the UV is in need of some innovation.

I wouldn't bet on a JPM100 though but a JS, Jem and PGM are pretty much dead certs

Mods, Glen please lock this thread until Nov 2007 at the earliest !!!

This could be a good thread to put some ideas over to Ibanez.

Could we have a super-classy PGM a la the Jem10th?

This is one I would really have liked to see in the past. And maybe something similar for later ANNI models.
