1990 Catalog MC funny - bad photoshopping?

I was looking through the catalog scans, when I noticed how terrible the 'cover up' of the monkey grip on the proto MC is: here

I'm pretty sure the 1990 catalog predates photoshop by a couple of years. *Looks to me like someone just took a marker to the pic and that was that.

Actually, Photoshop v1.0 came out in Febuary 1990. Still too late for this catalog, but that wasn't my point It does look like marker

Photoshop shipped in February 1990. *Although, I imagine Ibanez didn't own a copy at the time.

Man, they must have spilled some ink or something on the original pic. *Too bad they never made those UV's with a monkey grip

You can even see the outline of the grip through the ink if you look closely. *But I wanna know where I can get some of those boots.

actually, if you look closely at the neck, you can see a white line. this was a bit of the edge of the picture, if you'll observe. in other words, the right portion of the neck is an add on...hmmmm...I could be wrong, but thats what i think
