Maybe the powers that be for that GC decided it was time for it to go. My store does the same thing with items that have been in stock too long. I would never sell anything below cost though. With that noted, GC can probably stand to sell a few items below cost just to move them, considering the company grossed over 1 billion dollars last year!!
