2006 ibanez jem or older ones

hi i understand that there are alot of these threads but i couldn t resist it.
I like to buy a ibanez jem vwh, new or old doesn t matter really. I ījust wonder if i should go for a newer one?? are the necks thinner than the old ones?? i really want that old "jem" neck(fp rb or the gmc style).
what do you think?? help me!!! i got the money for any of them

depends on the model...

The older 7vwh's have ebony fretboard, where the newer ones have rosewood - that's personal preference.

Also, the old older ones have the square neck joint where the newer ones have the AANJ.

No man that's not how it felt to me.

I tried a VWH in a shop last year and it deffinatly felt like the neck profile was slimmer than my DY. I don't know, I could've been trippin' but I was pretty sure the neck felt skinny.

maybe coz he new ones have the 5 piece wizard and the old ones have only one piece???

i have tried a 2005 ibanez jem vwh and i thought that the neck was slimmer than my old FP. BUT i have now found a jem vwh-00 and i hope that the neck is not as slim as the 05.

Nuh, wrong - I have a BFP and a DNA, and the necks are very, very different - the BFP has a big, round neck, the DNA is more like a modern RG Prestige shape..... they both sound and feel great, but very different!
