30th anniversary jem

So ladies and gentleman, we are getting closer to the 30th anniversary of the Jem. What are your thoughts as to what model(s) Ibanez should release to commemorate the anniversary? I'm praying for a lochness green jem. I really hope they release the DY Jem too. They are my dream guitars - when they first came out I didn't have enough money. I was $400 short (i was in HSchool) and settled for an PGM model. I'm saving money as we speak and won't be denied this time!

They'll probably release a premium and nuke the MiJ jems.

Re: 30th anniversary jem

yeah, for the 30th, I think the reissue of the neon colors would be a good time.

Jackson did with their 30th soloist anniversary.

If I remember correctly :
10th is the black-chrome jem
15th is remark by come back of the FP
20th is the acrylic
25th is the beat up jem

Lucky I'm not a jem fan, those anniversaries model just suck.

I have to say that I haven't been impressed by the 20th, wasn't interested in the 25th, the 15th wasn't special enough...

However...

If you got JEM troubles, I feel bad for you, son.
I got 99 problems, but the 10th ain't one...

No I actually have no idea what it is

I don't think Ibanez will ever re release the neon jems. The old ones I feel would lose their value,

Guys, how can you get more special than the 20th or an Evo replica?

Re: 30th anniversary jem

I don't think a reissue of the neon jems would hurt the value of the originals. If anything it may make them more desirable. Look at fender and gibson - so many reissues of classic guitar....only lead to price increase of the originals.

The Evo relic replica was inevitable, but I think the 7VWH looks best in mint condition with gold hardware.

The 20th just didn't work for me and wasn't as cool as the JS crystal planet guitar that came out first. In truth I think it's, for me, the most disappointing JEM

Re: 30th anniversary jem

It'd be interesting to see what they come up with.

...wouldn't be too surprised if it was something odd, like a version of the root beer jem. You know, something with that handle to set it apart from the others.

They've gone "pretty", "swirly", "fabric", "acrylic", and "relic" already. What's left? Vintage?

I always had the blue sparkle one down as the 'vintage Fender' JEM...

Re: 30th anniversary jem

They should reissue the LNG, SK, and DY as MIJ Jems - only with an AANJ. That would be enough to differentiate them from the originals I think. And maybe offer them stock with Evos, Breeds, or Gravity Storms rather than PAFs.
My bet is they reissue them all... as Premiums.
