Re: 777VBK
It's not such a bad price for UK, but I certainly wouldn't want to go any higher than that. Great guitar. Enjoy it!

That's all that really needs to be said, IMHO.
If you play it for an hour every day for a year, that's less than 3 GBP a day.
Break that down over 10 years and it's next to nothing for a guitar you really love.
Maybe it'll be the guitar that inspires you to write that big hit song and it'll pay for itself and then some!
If anybody else needs help justifying a purchase to themselves or a loved one, come to me - i'll help you out
~K
EDIT: I should also add that this is the case only if you have the means to make the purchase. If you're 3 months behind in your rent and your credit card debt looks like a phone number, mmmmmmaybe it's not such a good idea.

Re: 777VBK
When I sold mine for £720 a few months ago every one was shocked (including you P&W)
Vintage Jems are going up every month, just proves my point.
I got mine only a few months before that and it was £520, go figure.

Re: 777VBK
Thanks for the replies. i've been dying for a VBK for years now, I always thought 800GBP was a fair price to be honest, for a one in great condition. Thinking about customizing it, but i really like it how it is at the moment, the simple black and green pick ups are so effective. I have no doubt over paying the 920 quid now. Cant wait to hold it, looks like the missus will be sleeping on the couch now!

Re: 777VBK
I don't think 920 is too much, depending on the condition too. It's a great looking guitar and from what I'm told, has the slimmer neck in the 777 line, like the 77 necks.
