7vwh for ritm work

hello guys. I ve just bought a 7vwh. It is really good. but ı have a problem with the ritm work. I just cant get the hard ritm muting sound well. Is it the characteristic of the guitar or problem with my other stuff?? I am using a boss gt8 and peavey studio pro 112. what do you say? can you also send some ritm work of yours recorded with jem 7vwh?? thanks

If you mean rhythm, then I don't see what the problem would be. As far as I know, any guitar when muted should produce a chunky, percussive sound. Maybe its your technique on how you mute them? are you just muting the strings at the fretboard or are you truly palm muting?

ohh it is rhytm =) sorry. I think I was misunderstood. I am talking about the tone. I cant get a wild rhytm tone out of this jem. I just can get awesome lead tones.

Sorry, Insane Shred, your spelling is good, just the rhythm thing...for all we know you could be non-native speaker of english, so all is cool.

I can't really answer your question, but I wouldn't think there should be some problem with the guitar. Does it work with other guitars? If yes, then just try to experiment with the patches on the Boss. Also, maybe you need to adjust your technique if you switch from, say, palm muting on a tune-o-matic equipped guitar to a Floyd guitar...

If you are looking for a big chunky metal type rhythm sound, you'll find that the evos are not great at it. It's possible, but not easy.

you bet your arse they do. but evo's not good at a chunky rhythm tone??? i found quite the opposite when i put an evo in my friends RG1570, but maybe its cause i wired it in serial? i'd assume the jem7vwh is in parallel...

Re: 7vwh for ritm work

If you want a bridge pickup that's EXCELLENT at rhythm, then check out the DImarzio D-Sonic. It has fantastic chunkiness and the leads aren't bad either. Of course, you just have to make sure to install the bar towards the bridge if the chunky rhythms is the kind of sound that you want out of it.
