A Jem7DBK is having Skin cancer...

Today I saw a JEM7DBK in a music store...

I have seen a few jem7dbk there before
but I dunno why when I saw this 1......
it looks like having skin cancer....

I noticed that the new DBKs actually have a different texture compared to my DBK (1999). The new ones look a lot rougher and not evenly covered especially near the pickguard area.

My 2000 model has the pickguard area void of texture.
It's realy pretty simple as to why....so the pickguard sits flat on the body...:sarcasm:

The thing is that the texture used to be closer to the pickguard edge... the new ones seems to have a lot of "flat" space before it reaches the pickguard.

My '99 goes right up to the pickguard edge.
The only real annoyance for me with the finish is the lack of quality inside the grip.
