Abalome Jem another one
Hi guys,
Long time no hear.
I've been bussy on my own Abalone swirled JEM.
It's almost finished, but I can't wait any longer. So here are some picktures and of course the specs:
* Two piece alder body (computer routed)
* Maple Wizard neck (from RG550)
* Ebbony fretboard with piramide inlays (front: gr abalone, Side: rd abalone and Top: blue plastic)
* Dunnlop 6105 Fretwire
* All hardwear (Edge trem + Top Lock III, tuning machines and all the screws) recieved a new coating: layer of black zinc and a thin layer of clear coat (so all the hardwear is matt black)
* Pickups
imarzio Evolution DP159F (bridge), Dimarzio HS2 in single coil mode (middle) and
Dimarzio Evolution
DP158F (neck)
* Elektronics are all original (but new) from Ibanez Jem 7VWH accept the Push-
Pull Tone pot
witch is from a JS.
* The finish: I did it all by myself and I'm F*#ing proud of it (sorry for the language)
* And of course the clear pickguard, but not only that, also all the cavity plates are clear
So here are the pictures:
Enjoy and let me know what you think of it.
Johan

Yeah I know.
The gus at Project Guitar told me to watch out for you since you love all swirls containing blue.
BTW: I like your Jem to, you should try swirling one yourself. It is so cool

I dont have the patience to swirl myself. I let Darren 'the master' do it for me

nice work
i'm partial to mine, but it looks good
i still might put toggles on, as those push/pull pots are a bit of a nuisance
enjoy the axe... glen

Yeah, I know that one is yours.
That's where I got the idea of doing one myself, because I loved the colours that were used.
I only wanted more of a MARBEL effect and fortunately I succeeded.

Holy smoke! That has got to be one of the top 5 swirls I have EVER seen! WOW! Please forgive me, but I have to be honest with you, Johan. I'm a suspicious-type person, and I have trouble believing that was your first project ever. At any rate, it's beautiful. Keep up the good work!!!!

Congratulations Johan,
Another addition to the elite "BMC-Owners" club - and I do mean *elite*; I've, now, only seen 3 BMC's on the whole of Jemsite so far and they're all amazing.
Maybe we should turn this thread into a "Show-Off Your BMC" thread? ...
Btw, why did you also opt for the older style of neck-joint?
