I dont know what that abomination is, but the Jem 20th was acrylic, you can get one if you have an extra $6 grand laying around

Re: Accrylic jem?

They spend a whole life talking about wood resonance, basswood vs. mahogany...
Then Vai brings an acrylic guitar.

Pick up your choice:

a) these wood stuff is psychological, it's all in your mind; or
b) acrylic sounds terribly bad, that guitar is to put on the wall and watch only.

Yuk, looks like that cheap jem knockoff acrylic that some company made awhile ago, I forgot there name. I mean, its not even clear. Don't worry about not hearing from him, he has a habit of getting a ton of orders then disappearing for a long time. Oh snap, did I actually say that?

But, the 20th has those colored ribbon type things that improve the tone of the acrylic

Re: Accrylic jem?

Dave Grohl uses an acrylic guitar a lot, I think. At least I've seen him with one a lot of the time. It sounds great, as far as I can tell.
