Actually took the DNA to a gig! - It passed the audition....
Well...I did it. *I finally broke down and took my DNA to a gig. *I was pretty apprehensive about it, but...I had to do it. *I've probably played the guitar maybe 30 minutes since I got it last December, so I wasn't sure how comfortable it'd be. *A couple of days before the show I sat down with it and started a get used to it. *Didn't take much time! *A few adjustments here are there and it played like a champ! *Showed up for sound check and immediately captured the attention of the headlining band's guitarist, as well as the bartenders and various other people who were in the club at the time. *The thing sounded great! *I took the DNA and my EB/MM JPM, but ended up playing the DNA all night long. *There ended up being a little over 250 people there at the beginning of our set, and they were turning people away at the door by the end (the headlining act has a huge following in Denver- they're called On Second Thought-great band!). *After our set, I had a dozen people come up to the stage just to get a look at the DNA. *My stage presence quadrupled just by holding that guitar! *Herman's Hideway in Denver will never be the same again.... *

Hey Roger!
I dunno...I'd hate to be laughed at by a fellow Jemsiter! *LOL *I'd almost rather have ya think that I at least don't TOTALLY suck. *
*But, all that aside, you can check out the gig schedule at
www.delomusic.com
. *Next on is the 27th of this month at the Little Bear in Evergreen...a whole night's worth! *Gotta see how many guitars I can fit into my car for that show

Thanks! *I definitely feel lucky...it's one of the tightest swirls I've seen, and is VERY active. *The back is great too...about half of it is the "Lizard" finish-way cool! *

I renew my contention that guitars are meant to be seen AND heard. *
Little nicks and scratches are part of the character of the guitar - and they won't show up much on a swirl anyway. *
If it sounds great and you love playing it, go for it! *No sense in keeping a Ferarri in the garage.
That guitar is going nowhere but down in value anyway, you may as well enjoy it.
