Adjusting the Jem Single Coil

The pole pieces on my jem single coil look a little out of proportion: i.e. the B string pole piece is very low into the picking and the G string pole piece is very high out...

is there any way to level them?

no. the staggered height single-coil PU is pretty much industry standard... works great for intended use 3 wound and 3 unwound strings

Glen is right. Check out most of the guitars in a music store that contain single coil p/u's and you'll find this. If you hear anyone talking about or advertising "staggered pole pieces", this is what they're talking about. It's preferred by single coil fans and traditionalists.
