Amy Begs Not To Get Ass Kicked For This (:

OK, you all know I love my Ibanez, or obviously I wouldn't be here and obviously I woudn't still be crying on the lost Jem777dy last week- I will never ever get over that-

Anyway, check out Amy here on this page! ha! but they do make a great guitar- I am very happy with it too!!
I love my Daisy Rock Guitar and it is amazing for the cost and the price how well it is balanced and plays!
http://www.daisyrock.com/artists/index.php

I am glad Daisy Rock got a good plug and yes, they make a fine guitar and the ELITE model is what I play-

And of course I am a Jemster also!
Floyd Rose has a fine one also that is a V model guitar that is great too and who can beat the floyd Rose!! I love em' !

I heard some of your music too, and it kicks ass ! Finally a guitar player I can lust over.

I was also impressed with the tons of merchandise you have available. Your pretty face is everywhere !

It's ok to like Ibanez and be endorsed by Daisy Rock, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I play different guitars too. variety is the spice of life.

Hmmm....daisy rock guitars. I've never seen that before.

Well, since you said, "I love my Ibanez..", I will not kick your ass for this.

Seriously, I think it's cool that someone makes guitars, specifically, for the "girl market". Especially if it encourages more girls like you to play. (We can convert them to Ibanez's later.)

Sorry to hear about your Jem.

It was tough....but I think I made it through the post without "making fun".

Hello!

Is the DY that much of a loss? (blasphemy!) you should have got a VDY that cool vine and wizard neck would have been almost as hot your looks!

Mind you, you could get daisy to make you a thru neck guitar with ebony fingerboard yellow vine inlay monkey grip handle and 24 frets with the awesome lo-pro Edge, you might get away with it!

It does however seem a little sad that we have to actively encourage sexism in order to sell product. This nonsense of "girls guitars" is putting us back in the Victorian age. And is yet again promoting negative stereotypes, I do not think Bonnie Raitt would be so well respected as an artist had she been playing some guitar marketed using degrading pointless sexism.

A guitar is a guitar, and having tits (however nice) does not detract from the fact that the guitar is a sexless instrument, and I think we should actively discourage such segregation of an important half of society forcing them to have pink and flower covered guitars. This is the Y2K's not the 50s, we aer all equal under God so why should we choose to force these outmoded opinions on the young and impressionable?

Next I assume I will be classed as an outcast from society for cooking, cleaning and being sensitive and a man!

I actually like dayglo pink and am tempted by Daisy guitars pink LP, but my heart really is aching for a 777VSK!

True, the idea of "girly" guitars is a bit sickening. Having said that, if it makes someone pick the guitar up that wouldn't of normally then that can only be a good thing.

It's not an issue of whether the guitar is or is not a sexless instrument. For the most part, guys are bigger than most women. Having a guitar taylored to women is actually progress.

For example, my wife plays bass. Most basses are designed for a guys arms and hands. My little wife has a hard time playing normal basses because they are so freakin huge. Daisy Rock makes basses and guitars at smaller scales so that women (and girly men with tiny hands ) can easily play without issues.

Having guitars made for women is progress if you are a woman or girly handed man. A lot of women don't give the instrument a chance because normal guitars are usually too big. Not all women fall into this catagory obviously. Not all people are leftys, so does that mean leftys have to learn right handed or just not play at all ? NO. It's not just pick paint, it's a scale issue.

Re: Amy Schugar Begs Not To Get Ass Kicked For This (:

You can get small scale guitars from other companies. For the record I've got small hands (although I'm a shade under 6ft tall) and I just make do. Scale has nothing to do with it IMHO, it's just a gimmick. I mean, what's wrong with a wizard neck? they suit people with small hands don't they?

Anyway, let's see if they release a Marilyn Manson signature model eh?

Oh come on. Guitars marketed at women. How sexist. Cars are marketed at women, clothes are, virtually everything is at some point or has a girly version to appeal to them. It's just smart business. Maybe you should make a really powerful statement and play a Daisy guitar yourself. Just to show your disdain for them marketing to women of course.

Is that directed at me? I never slated Daisy Rock, I said they were gimmick guitars (which they are) and that they could, in fact, be a good thing if it makes women pick up a guitar. I never said it was sexist, so you might want to re-read what I wrote.
