Another pickguard question...

I wanted to see if anyone knew the dimensions of a pickguard for a JEM? I have found the blue fluorescent material that will work for my DNA project. I'm just trying to figure out what size blank I should get.

THANX in advance for the help.

Re: Another pickguard question...

I need to know the thickness and how much overall space the pickguard takes up? Remember I'm buying a square/rectangular blank and it needs to be big enough to cut the pickguard out of.

get a big one and you'll be safe! =)

Dont have anything to measure with but a standard a4 printer paper almost cover it... so add an one inch and that will cover for sure

I have found several places that sell an acrylic plexiglass material that is 1/8" thick and fluorescent. The material is see-thru also. I would put some links up; but I haven't posted on this board enough to do so.

so... it's regular acrylic plexiglass uh... I guess the only hard thing is getting the right color. I assume you've cut acrylic plexyglass before. But if you didn't... be prepared to buy more oh, and be carefull while cutting it, if you're using an eletric jigsaw be sure the blade is not too hot, or else you'll be cutting and fusing the acrylic back together!

I won't be the one cutting this. I'm going to leave it to an expert for that.
