Anyone deal with Legacy One?

They have an **** auction for a jem body/ neck combo going right now. The parts look great. But their feedbaclk rating is terrible. Four people in the last six months haven't received their guitars, or even any phonecalls it appears, including two in the last month. My gut tells me to run away. But it looks like good parts for not a whole lot of cash. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Brad

Follow your gut. How many red flags do you need?

I, too, looked at that same route not to long ago, but that's a road well less travelled. Check the thread above to confirm your suspicions.

It's pretty much a good idea to avoid auctions for items that "made to order." If I'm sending my money right away, it should be possible for the item to be sent right away.

On the other hand, at least with the 'bay you have some type of reassurance. . . But I'd stay far away from that. . . . "All that glitters is not always gold"

Thanks guys. That's all I needed to see. It's too bad. John really sounded like he gave a sh#X?!?!? in the beginning.
Good luck, to all those who got the short end of the stick. But thanks a ton for sharing your plight, so we didn't suffer as well.
Take care,
Brad

Re: Anyone deal with Legacy One?

i emailed them over 2 weeks ago wanting to buy a body & neck, still haven't heard anything. the website is built by a mentally challenged monkey, it is all but impossible to place an order. all i wanted to do was give them my money and get a body and neck, you would think that it would be an easy thing, but apparently not. i would not recommend them, and i haven't even had the chance to deal with them .

And most supposed bad businesses seem to be pretty good at separating people from their money...
