I saw a UV with a white pearloid guard on 3bay a few weeks ago. Go lookup completed auctions and you can probably still find it.

At the risk of sounding too acid, or aggresive, Id have to say that while a mint '88 Floral may not be as beautiful (cause beauty is in the eye of the beholder), its much, much harder to come by, replace, or duplicate than say, a still-in-production UV with a custom guard...

my 2 cents...

thats not mine nor am I trading for it.. I just wanted to see what a Universe looked like with a white pickguard

But there is a deal pending on a Universe..

I know I know the FP is rarer, and hard to replace but I wouldnt be trading it if I wanted to keep it now would I?

I thank you for the wishes.. I know people are going to think im out of my mind. But if im going to be stuck with one guitar for the next few years while im paying off all this dental bills, it mys well be one I want to play and thats a seven string.. I just cant justify sitting on this and not playing it.. At least im not selling it for a profit it is going to a Jemsiter who will give her the love she deserves.. In theory, nothinig is set in stone just yet.

Anyways enough chatter lets get back on topic..

The guitar was in production from 1988 straight through 2003 (I know, 2000-2002 in Japan only), I really don't think it's that rare. If you end up wanting another, I don't foresee any trouble finding one at all.

true, true. well, i think that if you really liked the seven string in the first place, you shouldn't have sold it. but, i have no clue what it's like to be in debt (if that was the case). but, after what happened for you to acquire that fp, i dunno. that's just a possession i would prize. my best advice would to be to get your bills and whatnot all sorted out, then go for the universe or whatever so you won't have to make any sacrifices. plus, you would proabably regret selling your fp after the fact.
