Bending on high scalloped frets.

Have problems bending the high scalloped frets on my JEM. Shouldn't it be easier to bend them compared to the other non-scalloped frets?

Sometimes i can get the note, but it wont sustain as long as it would if i bend any non-scalloped fret for some reason. Sometimes the bend can't last for more than a second.

I sort of suspect this is a technique problem rather than a technical problem with the guitar. Maybe I have to press alot harder to bend the high scalloped frets?

I would think that it's either in your fingers (but if you don't have that issue on other frets then probably not) or a fault with your particular guitar, scalloped frets can have choking/action problems as well as other frets.

none of my jems with scallops have had these sorts of problems, so I don't think it's a design issue of the JEM as a whole.

you could also have the pickups *neck pickup* adjusted to close to the strings and the magnetic pull is pulling the string stopped.

you should also play lighter on scalloped frets.

If it is on the higher scalloped frets, it is likely that you are not getting the right pressure in the string. I am guessing it is a square heel neck joint.
