Re: Better pics of my stripped SK

Been wondering if those inlays are painted black... and if they are, do you notice that they are when playing?

Re: Better pics of my stripped SK

Actually, they are blacked out quick and dirty, with black electrician tape that's cut to size. The last 2 frets (3rd and 5th) had the tape worn off when I got it. I made some cutouts for those, and replaced the 7th fret one. It did slide around a little bit. Probably from the age of the tape. I peeled it off, cleaned it up with a bit of rubbing alcohol and made a new one. Now they all stay in place really good.

I have a black ibanez sticker, and Jem sticker that I'm going to have put on the headstock, and it will be clearcoated so it is smooth. The headstock was shocking pink so it was stripped down as well. Man it sounds good though!

Yeah it's an original SK777. I love how organic it is, it just has such a great feel, sounds and plays great as well!

I love bare-wood guitars! I wanted to do my current project guitar in nothing but clearcoat but my girlfriend may have banned me haha

Now.. the stripped look has never been for me, but I like this one... seems to have its own attitude.
