Depending on what I already have, I usually shop for versatility. *I would suggest buying the guitar that fills the biggest gap in your collection (if you have one at all).
If this is your first serious guitar, I would go with the Prestige, if this is a 3rd or 4th guitar I'd go with the 2020.
I like the DBK too, especially the Breeds, but it's not a top priority on my list.
I gave what you asked for.

That's a tough call, especially since you've played them all and love them all. If this is the case, you can purchase based on aesthetics and or character.

IMHO...JEM all the way!

I love the 3120s......I think they have the best combination of the bunch (looks, feel, sound)......although the 2020 are prestige they have a bigger neck (and less comfortable neck) than the 3120s......but they do have the piezos...........this sound can be pseudo replicated with the 3120s.....I took out the 5 way lever switch in my 3120s and had them replaced with 3 way lever switches and had the Petrucci wiring installed. *So it all comes down to looks between the DBK/3120.......classic or contemporary.........

Mahogany body rules. I've got and RG620, which is quite similar to the 3120 (only the pups and the neck are a bit different). I really like the heaviness of the mahogany.. it's so.. umm.. full and rich. I haven't played the 2020 though.
7db's are nice too.. But I would stick to the 3120.. Only my own personal opinion.

I'm sorely biased by my love for my 7DBK, but wouldn't the 2020x be the most versatile? I think it's really a toss up - you're in a no-lose situation; you just can't go wrong, tho' the Jem might hold its resale value a little better than the others... If I had been in your shoes six months ago, I probably would have gone with the 3120 or 2020x, but having owned and played (and played, and played :-) my 7DBK since before Xmas, I'm totally sold. I love this guitar!

Personally I'd just pick which ever one you like the colour/look of best, unless you really want piezos then the 2020 is the only choicel.

good question. all things near equal, i take the 2-1-2 pickup configuration. If the piezo is important you have your answer. All three are great axes. Good luck... glen

Just an FYI, the RG2020 is mahogany too! *If I were you I'd go for the 2020 in a heart beat!

I've had my 3120 for a couple years now and I absolutely swear by it. To me, it has a much beefier, warmer tone than the DBK (if that's your thing). The switching is very versatile, too... I find myself using the middle positions on the 3120 much more frequently than I use the middle positions on the DBK.

Personally, I don't think you could go wrong with any of the above guitars, but I guess I'm a little biased...
