BFP for 7VWH? - opinions please...

I´ve been offered to trade my 7vwh for a bfp.
I havent actually played a bfp but I hear good stuff.
I cant see it being better than the 7v but I already have the 7v features in the 10th, which I'm happy to play.

That said the 7v was my first high end guitar so there is a sentimental thing...

And how difficult is it to get a blue bridge paf pro?
Cause it comes with a SD blues sarraceno, and Ive asked for an original pu.

Thanks guys

Julio

BFP for 7VWH?

Julio, I would say go for it!-but really check the condition of the BFP

Dimarzio make the same blue p'ups and yes they are the same colour when you put them next to an old one.

I have a spare blue jem single cover if neccesary

Got any pics of the BFP?

best wishes

BFP for 7VWH?

I would do this only if I could play the BFP first or had a really good and trusting relationship with the owner of the BFP and got a "return agreement" deal going. Otherwise you're trading off a guitar you know and like for an unknown commodity based solely on cosmetics. I've done this once in my life and I really regret doing it (a year later, and I'm still kicking myself :-)

That being said, my four Jems sound quite different, with the biggest difference being between the 7VWH and the 7FP, so if you're looking for something that's "the same thing only different" you're headed in a good direction, imho.

good luck

BFP for 7VWH?

The BFPs have different frets from the rest of the Jems (with the exception of the VDY). *Their frets are low and fat, kinda Les Paulish. *I would play it first to make sure you like it. *I have my BFP refretted with 6100 fretwire, like the old Jems and love it. *

$0.02,

BFP for 7VWH?

There was a UK based vwh on ebay for £900 and there is one on Loot.com for £1100. *I guess if there are signs of wear then go for £950 ono

If you brought it over and left it I could sell it for you,

(and pocket all the money and you wouldnt see one peseta!)

BFP for 7VWH?

Calling the heavies....Calling the heavies......

I need to know from an experienced point of view:

It would be a straight swap: Bfp (with pafpro replaced or cash equivalent) for 7vwh.

No case to change hands.

Would I lose in value? Would I gain on versatility?

Please advise Rich,Glen, Bob, kevan, and all those you are "Holders of all knowledge"

BFP vs. VWH?

Hmmm...I *love* blue, and that maple board (YUMMY!), but the AANJ and the the Ebony board.....a great combo.

Ask me for an eye next time. *:-)

BFP for 7VWH?

I wouldn't do the straight swap
You can get the BFP for 800$-1000$ used, but the 7vwh for 1000$-1700$, but these are just my price estimates, many would/will disagree about the prices...
