Blue Sparkle JEM?

This isn't meant to be a rant, but what's wrong with bringing back the Blue Sparkle JEM of a few years ago? I'm sure they would appeal to at least as many people as the 7Vwh and the 77bk, while also looking slighty out of the ordinary (but not totally off the wall, which could put some of the Ibanez demographic off)... If this JEM was available this year I can say in all honesty that I'd be heading to my local music shop to order one today! I'm desperate for a new JEM but just can't bring myself to buy a plain black or white one. It's hard to justify spending 2300$ on a guitar that looks so... ordinary.

Jim, I knew this was coming! The worst thing is I am starting to like the Pearloid pickguard on your VSBL. Arrgghhhh! not pearloid!

I think the VSBL would definitely be a hit again, if there was to be a reproduction of it, which unfortunately is highly unlikely.

It is funny that you say it would be a big hit and I totally agree. It's just remembering back on how bad everybody hated them when they came out the Vsbl is one of the best Jem purchases I ever made!!

Those are some beautiful JEMs you've got there, JJEMMER777! The VSBL certainly stands out better in those pics than the ones I've seen. Still, I could see them appealing to the same crowd that buys the 7vwh JEMs. JEM users are a different breed in the first place; how many people that bought a 7vwh would have turned down a nice FP JEM if that had been on offer as opposed to the 7vwh? I'd venture to say "not many, if any".

It just needs the pickguard from the 7VWH. I think Jim's guitar looks complete with the new pickguard.

I too wish for a better contrast between the vine and the rosewood on this model. I love the sparkle, and the pearloid pickguard is NICE.
