Bought that BSB - New Family Photo

I saw, played and bought my first BSB today.

It's in pretty good condition - about a 7.5 or 8, maybe. The UV case is a 10. I was apprehensive that the neck would not be to my liking in thickness (see posts from earlier this week), but was pleased to find the dimensions similar enough to my BFP that I was totally comfy playing it from the get-go. Defintely needs a setup (i use 10s anyway) and I'll replace the middle pickup this week sometime - maybe a Blue Velvet - just for something slightly different form the VirtuAL2 in my BFP - I'll leave the EVO in the Neck alone for now - If i change it, I'll probably try out the Air Norton - everybody seems to like that one.

The BSB looks a *little* greenish next to the BFP, but on its own, it's definitely more of a sky-blue.

Here are some pics taken with my crappy digital camera. I lightened them with photoshop a bit. Better pics when my brother comes by with his good camera (should i have spent the money on a better digital camera?!?!)

lol. I was about to tell you to buy a better camera myself. ANyways looks good a nice find. Ive seen some bsbs where the neck finished was worn completely off. Im betting as those things get older the finish will look great. I noticed your BFP has gold hardware and you changed your uv pickups to red ones. Interesting stuff

I much prefer the look of the gold hardware to the cosmo on the BFP - made that change the day after i got it. The UV has red knobs and tip too - EVO-7 and PAF 7 in bridge and neck, respectively, w/ a Tom Anderson custom 7 single coil.

I did a 3-way switch. The cosmo on the BFP was rusty/pitted. I had a 550 at the time that had black on it.

I knew i wanted the gold, and i put up an ad here in Jemsite and within 24 hours i found somebody who had an RG with gold hardware that wanted black - he happened to live not too far away and we met up in NYC at my sister apt. and had a swapping party. No $$ exchanged. it was a beautiful thing. right place/right time, i guess.

Simon CerealK ended up with the RG and the cruddy cosmo.

I think simon bought the BFP single with the RG. Devo in Ireland bought the UV single and I think I may want to keep the BSB one after i replace it.

I'll let you know

Congrats Kenny!!! I've always liked the BSB myself, and prefer the BFP over the FP anyday. The UV looks pretty cool with the red pups/knobs. Keep Rockin'.....
